- The BTS Skytrain (elevated) and MRT (underground) metro systems are efficient and cheap. Taxis are ubiquitous and inexpensive. Traffic is genuine chaos, making driving inadvisable. Walking between attractions is rarely practical given distances. Boats on khlong offer scenic transport and authentic glimpses of old Bangkok.
