How AVARA Works: Group Trip Planner & Cost Splitter
Plan a group trip in minutes — free in open beta. An AI concierge drafts the itinerary, each traveller confirms their own leg, costs split automatically, and delays get rebooked.
An AI concierge drafts the itinerary, coordination runs automatically across routes and time zones, costs split as you go, and delays are rebooked for everyone.
In short: create a trip, invite the travellers by email, and the AVARA concierge drafts an itinerary the whole group can see. Each person confirms their own flights and stays, shared costs split as you log them, and if a leg is delayed or cancelled the group timeline shows alternatives with new times and prices. AVARA is free to use while it is in open beta.
Key benefits of planning group travel with AVARA
The Trip Leader role and coordinated travel logistics
Most group travel planning falls apart in the logistics: travellers leave from different cities, on different days, by different modes, and one delay quietly breaks everyone else's evening. AVARA gives the group a Trip Leader — a limited admin role with the authority to organise, but never to commit another traveller's money or confirmations.
When travel goes wrong: the disruption playbook
Quiet planning, honest pricing, and nothing booked without your word.
Flights, stays, activities and arrival times sit on a single timeline that updates for everyone at once — no version conflicts, no stale tab.
The trip chat lives next to the itinerary it changes, so a decision and the plan never drift into two different places.
One organiser can prepare everything, but each traveller confirms their own segment before it is ticketed — nobody commits anyone else's money.
Log a shared cost once, choose who it splits across, and AVARA keeps a running balance per traveller with receipts attached.
Delays and cancellations surface on the group timeline with alternative routes and costs side by side — proposed, never auto-booked.
Ask in plain language — a city, a date, a feeling — and the AVARA concierge turns it into a shortlist of stays, flights and journeys, then drafts the itinerary. It suggests and prepares; you decide and confirm.
Stay safe abroad with check-ins and local emergency numbers
Local emergency numbers resolve to wherever you are, a crisis check-in lets you tell your group you are safe in one tap, and live location can be shared with an emergency contact only when you choose to.
Coordinate group travel in one shared itinerary
Everyone coordinating the trip sees the same flights, stays and plans in one place — no spreadsheets, no forwarded email chains, no version conflicts. Group chat and the timeline live beside the plan.
Log a shared expense once and AVARA splits it across the travellers you choose, tracks who has settled, and keeps a running balance for the whole group.
Confirm every booking before anyone is charged
One person can organise the trip, but each traveller confirms their own segment. Prices are re-validated server-side before any payment is attempted.
Rebook delays and cancellations without derailing the group
Delays and cancellations surface on the group timeline with alternative routes the concierge proposes, so a disruption for one traveller does not derail the group's plan.
You start with a question, not a form. The AVARA concierge turns intent — a city, a date, a feeling — into a shortlist of stays, flights and journeys. Nothing is committed at this stage; it is a conversation.
Search results reflect live supplier inventory, not stored prices.
The concierge is an assistant, not an authority — it never acts on your behalf.
You can leave and return; drafts stay in your account, not in a public feed.
Trips are shared with the people you invite, and only them. Circles, itineraries and expenses live inside the trip, with membership checked on every read and write on the server.
Invitations are scoped to the invited email address and expire.
Shared links use long, unguessable tokens and can be revoked at any time.
Leaving a trip removes your access immediately.
